Investment Breakdown.

Thank you for considering commissioning a bespoke piece of artwork from me, Sarah Jane. My wish is that the artwork that comes through me is medicine for these times.

Each artwork is unique, personal and inspired by you, me and ‘the mystery’ and can take anywhere from 3 to 30 hours to complete. Prices reflect the following:

• Exploration with you to discover your unique requirements and vision

• My skills in attuning to you and your vision

• ‘Dreaming in’ time - for me to be with your vision and my own and allow a unique piece of art to be birthed.

• My attention and the time it takes to create your piece of art 

• My experience and the skills I have developed largely as a self taught artist 

• Whether the piece is part of a series 

• How the piece will be used - eg. for personal ‘on the wall’ use (postage will be added) for commercial use (price reflects the wider usage and potential longer term value for your business).  

Investment

I enjoy creating art. Art is one of the streams of income that sustains me, as the cost of living increases I am grateful for the generosity of art lovers. It's because of people investing in my art that I can continue to do what I love, pay my bills and contribute to projects which reflect my values through collaboration, so thank you for enabling me to keep on creating! 

Concessions & Discounts

I offer a 20% concession to anyone facing financial hardship and/or at risk of racism or other forms of discrimination and trauma.

My work is dedicated to our collective healing and I am committed to promoting this type of work in the world. If your work is making a positive difference aligned with these values, there is a 20% discount available. 

I would love to explore your work with you and find out how best I can support your publications, illustrate your stories and create artworks that reflect your unique healing work and business. If the price still feels out of reach at that point, we can talk about this and find a way that feels fair for both of us. 

Sizes

For original artwork for personal use, standard sizes are A4 and A3.

If you would like a different size we can discuss and I will price this accordingly.

For digital images for commercial use, standard size is 20x20cm. Artwork is scanned to a high resolution and files sent via Dropbox so you can crop and insert into your publication as needed. Originals are available at an extra cost. 

Materials & Postage

I use mixed media and quality paper and post original items in a hard backed envelope.

All artwork will be posted using a tracked delivery either with Royal Mail or courier whichever best serves the destination. I will add any postage to your final invoice. 

I will give you an estimate of the up to date postage costs across the UK or worldwide before you commit to a commission. 

Payment

Payment for commissioned pieces is made in two parts. The first payment (a 50% deposit) is due when we create your commission agreement, the second on delivery of the piece/s (final 50%). 

Social Media

I sometimes like to showcase my commissions and collaborations on social media and on my website and am really happy for you to do the same, tagging me on Instagram @deeperlistening.life and/or on Facebook @sarahjaneheath or deeperlistening.life. I will make it clear on my social media posts that your commissioned artwork is not for repost as it reflects a vision specifically created for you. You are welcome to use the image/s freely to promote the specific piece of work we’ve agreed. If you prefer that I don’t post your commissioned artwork on my social media, or if you have a specific timeframe in which you would like me to post it, please let me know.  

Copyright

Copyright for all artworks will remain with me. If you wish to recreate or use the image or part of the image for another purpose outside of our agreement please let me know so that I may consider any implications/additional charges.
