Once upon a time there was the simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy. The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world is meant to be celebrated.

The Voice Sanctuary Autumn Series
These sessions invite you into deep listening, bringing awareness to the sensations that arise when you express your voice, supporting your natural ability to release and return to a state of balance. Sessions are trauma informed and can include movement, focused breath, somatic enquiry, self holding, co-regulating touch, sounding, toning, melodic mantra and vocal improvisation, depending on what’s alive in the group..
Whether you identify as a singer or someone curious about the resonance of your body and vocal sounds, your voice is a resource for health and wellbeing and a pathway into an intimate relationship with your own creative source. The Voice Sanctuary offers you the space to explore and play safely with other voices where the emphasis is not on making great music (although sometimes this happens) but on expressing honest sounds through which a sense of wholeness and connection can emerge.
Sessions can be booked individually or as a series.

Journey to Rhiannon
Saturday 19th March 2022 · 10.30-2.30
Workshop to explore the Celtic Horse Goddess Rhiannon through drum journey, voice & improvisation.
Rhiannon is a magical being - earthy, passionate, smart, regal and a powerful healer. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make a personal relationship with Rhiannon, and claim her as a source of power and inspiration in your life.
We invite you to take a guided drum journey straight to ‘the horse’s mouth’ and then explore what happens when we let this vibration come through us, giving voice to a more grounded, authentic version of ourselves.
I’m delighted to be partnering with Jackie Singer, storyteller, musician, drama therapist and shamanic practitioner who will be digging into her magic bag to share some of the practices she used in her own creative process in the making of Rhiannon Unbridled (which Jackie will be performing the night before) .
Together we will offer a safely held space in which to work with story, embodied movement and voice. We aim for it to be fun, creative, improvisational, celebratory, surprising, investigative and nourishing.
NB This workshop accompanies the one-woman show Rhiannon Unbridled. It is recommended that you see the show before coming to a workshop.
